Harrington Starr has partnered with a leading global alternative investment manager seeking a Software Developer to join its high-performing technology team in London. This role offers the opportunity to build mission-critical systems supporting trading, risk, pricing, and quantitative research within a collaborative and technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing scalable software solutions across trading, risk, pricing, and valuation platforms
- Building robust, reusable applications and services that support critical business functions
- Collaborating with quantitative and investment teams to solve complex technical and business challenges
- Contributing to the architecture of large-scale, real-time computing systems
- Taking ownership of projects throughout the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to deployment and support
- Driving innovation by challenging existing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
What we're looking for:
- Strong software development experience using C#, .NET
- Experience working with SQL databases
- A passion for technology and engineering excellence
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to work independently
- Experience delivering software solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- A strong academic background (1st or 2:1) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline
