£700–£800 per day Inside IR35 for an initial 6 months. Hybrid working 2 days working from home.
Investment Data Engineer – VP Level - 6 month rolling Contract
I’m working with Global Private Bank on a senior contract hire within its Private Markets Data & Analytics team.
They are looking for an experienced Investment Data Engineer to take ownership of key elements of their data architecture, integration and platform development environment.
This is a role for someone who can get under the bonnet of a complex investment data landscape, make strong technical decisions and build solutions that can genuinely improve how Private Markets data is structured, integrated and used.
The Role
This is a high-impact, hands-on VP-level engineering contract with significant ownership across the data platform.
You’ll be focused on:
- Designing and developing SQL Server database architecture
- Building robust data integration capabilities across the Private Markets environment
- Developing and enhancing the underlying data platform
- Taking ownership of complex investment datasets from ingestion through to consumption
- Improving data structures, quality and accessibility for analytics and business users
- Working directly with senior investment, data and technology stakeholders
- Making pragmatic architectural decisions rather than simply working through a delivery backlog
What We’re Looking For
- Strong SQL Server engineering and database architecture experience
- Deep experience building data platforms and integration solutions
- Background within banking, asset management, private markets or financial services
- Ability to operate across architecture and hands-on engineering
- Track record of building or materially enhancing data capabilities, rather than simply supporting established platforms
- Confidence dealing directly with senior stakeholders
- Experience working with complex investment or financial datasets would be particularly valuable
