Financial Services Marketing & PR

Remote-first (UK-based)

Circa £125,000 package (base, bonus and bespoke commission scheme) + EMI shares

Our client is an established, specialist marketing, content and PR agency serving the financial services sector, with strong roots in capital markets and ambitions to expand into payments, mortgage broking and wider financial services. Entering an ambitious growth phase, they are creating a new board-level commercial leadership role to drive their next stage of expansion.

What you'll do
  • Sit on the Board and report directly to the CEO, owning commercial performance end to end
  • Take direct responsibility for the firm's highest-value existing client relationships, bringing structure and rigour to how they're managed
  • Build and run a disciplined new business process: targeting, pipeline, forecasting and CRM hygiene
  • Open new client verticals beyond the firm's traditional base, including payments and broader financial services
  • Shape the sales function as you see fit, then build a team beneath you as the business scales
  • Support a planned push into the US market as part of the firm's medium-term growth plans
  • Champion an AI-first, tools-driven approach to sales and client management
  • Contribute to Board-level discussions on strategy and long-term direction

What we're looking for
  • 7+ years in senior commercial, sales or client leadership roles, with a strong track record of winning and growing business
  • Strong knowledge of financial services, ideally including capital markets, with an active senior UK network
  • Comfortable owning large, complex or high-value client accounts and earning trust quickly at a senior level
  • A proactive, go-to-market thinker rather than a reactive, relationship-only seller
  • Startup mentality: happy defining your own approach without an existing playbook
  • Highly organised and process-driven, with the discipline to keep pipeline, proposals and CRM data accurate
  • A confident, hands-on user of AI and modern sales/CRM tools
  • Based in the UK, with willingness to travel nationally and internationally
  • Agency background is a strong plus but not essential — understanding how marketing, content or PR services are bought and sold matters more than the label

Desirable
  • Established senior contacts in the US
  • Experience selling integrated marketing, content or PR services
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Teamwork.com or similar CRM/PM platforms, and modern AI tools

Package: £125,000 including bonus and a bespoke commission scheme (structure to be finalised with the successful candidate), plus a Board seat and company-wide EMI share options.
