Working directly with the trading team, you'll be part of a follow-the-sun support model supporting the move towards 23/5 US market trading hours. You'll provide real-time application support across trading desks in New York, while partnering closely with overnight teams covering Asia and London.
Key Requirements:
- Application support experience within capital markets or trading environments
- Experience supporting front office users and trading applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, business-critical environment
- Mandarin language skills are a bonus, but not essential
- Previous experience within capital markets, electronic trading, or financial services
Technical Requirements:
- Experience providing Level 2/3 application support for trading, market data, or order management platforms.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyse data, investigate issues, and support production environments.
- Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting experience, including log analysis and process monitoring.
- Knowledge of FIX Protocol and electronic trading workflows.
- Experience supporting OMS, EMS, market data, and exchange connectivity platforms.
- Understanding of trade lifecycle processes across equities, futures, options, FX, or multi-asset products.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and work closely with development teams to implement permanent fixes.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, ELK, AppDynamics, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to scripting and automation using Python, Shell, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Understanding of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, connectivity troubleshooting, and message flow analysis.
- Experience supporting highly available, low-latency, mission-critical production environments.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, containerisation, or modern infrastructure tooling would be advantageous.
