The Role

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building pipeline, and engaging with prospective customers across the financial services sector.

You will work closely with the wider Sales and Marketing teams to identify target accounts, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and create qualified opportunities for the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage outbound sales campaigns through a variety of channels, including cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns, networking, and industry events.

  • Research target accounts and identify new business opportunities within financial institutions.

  • Take a consultative approach to prospecting by understanding customer challenges and engaging relevant stakeholders.

  • Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities and create strong sales conversations.

  • Build relationships with prospects, partners, and industry contacts.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and other internal teams to support commercial growth.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure all prospect activity is tracked effectively.

  • Continuously improve sales techniques and stay up to date with modern business development practices.

The role involves navigating complex organisations and understanding how technology solutions can solve business challenges across multiple departments.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and ambitious sales professional who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and working in a consultative outbound environment.

Essential Requirements

  • 1+ years’ experience in B2B SaaS sales or a similar technology sales environment.

  • A proactive "hunter" mentality with a passion for generating new business.

  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.

  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.

  • An interest in consultative sales methodologies such as MEDDIC or SPIN Selling.

  • Professional fluency in Spanish, with the ability to support sales campaigns across Central and South America.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience within fintech, financial services, banking technology, payments, FX, or capital markets.

  • Experience selling into enterprise organisations.

  • Exposure to multi-product sales environments and engaging different buyer personas.
