A high-growth technology firm operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence and institutional finance is expanding its commercial team in London.

The business develops advanced research, analytics and workflow technology used by investment professionals across the buy-side and institutional markets. Their platform enables portfolio managers, analysts and investment teams to make faster, more informed decisions by combining AI-driven research tools with structured and alternative data intelligence. 

Following strong international growth and increasing demand from institutional investors, the firm is building its EMEA sales presence from London and is seeking an experienced commercial professional to help drive that expansion.

The Role
This is a full-cycle enterprise sales position combining new client acquisition with account growth and long-term relationship management.

You will operate in a highly consultative sales environment, working with sophisticated financial market participants and running strategic deal cycles from first engagement through to close.

Responsibilities include:
  • Owning the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demonstrations, negotiation and closing
  • Building and expanding relationships with institutional investment firm
  • Growing revenue within existing accounts through product expansion and increased adoption
  • Working closely with product and engineering teams to tailor solutions for complex client requirements
  • Feeding market insight and client feedback into product development
  • Developing a strong presence across the London institutional investment community

Clients & Market
The platform is sold directly to institutional investment professionals, including:
  • Hedge funds
  • Asset managers (long-only)
  • Multi-family offices
  • Sovereign wealth funds
  • Investment bank research teams

Typical deals range from £20k to £200k+ in annual contract value, with sales cycles typically spanning a few weeks to several months depending on client size and complexity. 

Candidate Profile
This role suits a commercially driven sales professional who understands the institutional investment ecosystem and is comfortable selling high-value data, research or technology solutions.

You will likely have:
  • 5–10 years’ experience in financial markets sales
  • A background selling financial data, research platforms, terminals, analytics or fintech solutions
  • Experience engaging with portfolio managers, analysts or investment teams
  • A proven record of closing complex enterprise deals
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in high-growth, fast-moving environments

Existing relationships across the buy-side investment community will be highly advantageous.
