Trading Desktop Support Engineer - Hedge Fund - Hong Kong Office
Harrington Starr are excited to be partnered with a renowned Hedge Fund with offices in Hong Kong, London, New York, and Dubai. Our client is expanding their Hong Kong footprint and require a Trading Desktop Support Engineer to come on board.
You will be joining an onsite team of 4, and report directly to the Global Head of Infrastructure. This opportunity will require close support of traders onsite 5 days a week.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting trading applications and traders. Providing white glove desktop, mobile device, and application support, including Windows operating systems and software such as trading systems, and other applications, to the firm's HK-based trading team and VIPs.
Key Responsibilities
- 1st and 2nd line support for all desktop related issues on the HK Trading Floor
- Assisting with wider desktop support globally, as well as project work
- Supporting Trading applications
- Assisting traders with the optimization and troubleshooting of their Excel spreadsheets
- Optimizing and applying best practices to any Python code that Traders are using

- Prior Experience of Bloomberg Terminal support
- Exceptional Excel debugging skills, including knowledge of VB Macros

- Python, Bash, and PowerShell
