Windows Cloud Engineer - London - Windows Server, PowerShell, Citrix/VMware, Exchange - up to £55,000 basic salary

I am working with one of London’s most prestigious and technically forward-thinking capital management companies. They are looking to hire a motivated and ambitious Windows Platform Engineer who can offer their technological input to enhance and support their business.

This company is highly technology focussed, they are looking for someone who is willing to get things done through an automation first mindset, with interest in helping them begin their cloud journey.

Mandate:

• Scoping, designing, planning, implementing and supporting new and existing technologies
• Deliver excellent levels of service to the whole business
• Undertake project work

Skillset:

• Windows Server knowledge (2016/19/22)
• PowerShell or other automation tools
• Messaging (Exchange 2016, MS Teams, Blackberry, UEM)
• VMware 6/7 (Hyper-V)
• Citrix Virtual apps
• Server hardware (HPE highly desirable)
• Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Responsibilities:

• Delivery of wide ranging solutions across their platforms
• Contribute to technology roadmaps
• Identify process improvements that deliver business benefits
• Work with existing vendors and assist in service agreements
• Drive and co-ordinate changes to ensure minimal business impact
• Execute BAU maintenance plans

In the next 5 years they are embarking on a full cloud journey whereby they are looking to get 60% of their real estate onto the cloud. This gives you the opportunity to be hands on in project work revolving around this, whilst working in close collaboration with DevOps teams working on technologies like Kubernetes, Docker and Ansible.
