GHCO – Trade Support Engineer

GHCO is one of the fastest-growing liquidity providers specialising in exchange traded funds (ETFs). We have recently undergone a complete infrastructure refresh into the cloud and there is ample opportunity to help develop and exploit this even further.
 

The primary responsibility of the Trade Support Engineer is to ensure the availability of all the IT systems that are used by all colleagues throughout the trading day. This includes the end user computing, the applications that run on them and the back-end infrastructure from the office to the exchanges.
 

In addition to this your responsibilities will include; building and deploying new PCs, managing resource utilisation of IT systems, patching and maintaining Windows Server environment, patching and maintaining of Linux systems and ensuring regulatory compliance reporting is carried out.


There is great emphasis throughout the business on using automation and all the AWS resources we have available to us to increase the efficiency of the IT offer. You will work closely with the rest of the IT team to achieve this.
 

Skills and Experience:

·       Ideally prior experience working in financial services

·       Networking skills to CCNA level

·       Experience managing a Windows Server environment (ideally Server 2016)

·       Experiencing building and maintaining Window 10 desktops

·       Experience maintaining Microsoft SQL Server

·       Ideally experience working with AWS

·       Experience and an interest in coding, particularly in Python or Java
