A Global Trading firm are building a brand new Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF) platform and are seeking a technical team leader to spearhead the project.

As the Java Technical Team Lead you will be involved in designing, developing and testing new features on a low latency trading system. The role will include working with complex technical data tools and require the right individual to have strong command of core java and a good appreciation of latency sensitive systems.

To be successful with this firm, you're approach and attitude to technology is as important as your experience. Your experience with real-time, Low Latency/High Throughput, distributed scalable and resilient systems will be put to the test in this role.

This is a greenfield, mission critical system, so the company operate a stringent agile / test driven development approach. The right individual will have strong appreciation of Linux, common design patterns and be a practitioner of TDD.

For this role you will need the following skills:

  • Knowledge of Core Java development in a low latency / real time environment
  • Experience of working in an agile environment and practicing test driven development
  • Experience of working on a high throughput system
