Harrington Starr is currently seeking a Support Engineer to work for a small but highly successful trading systems integrator in their Shanghai office. Our client have a particular focus around MetaTrader product, which is implemented on to client site, as well as producing and making software. This role will involve being part of an electric and highly motivated team that are committed to technology.

This company sits within the financial sector and is an excellent opportunity for the Technical Support Engineer to develop their technical and financial knowledge. The day to day activates for this role will include the following:

  • Provide technical support to client including troubleshooting, implementation and configuration as well as the installation of new upgrades
  • Building external relationships through the support desk
  • Building technical knowledge
  • Provide internal support to the team including software and hardware issues

To be considered for the Technical Support Engineer role you will require the following skill-set:

  • Be educated to degree level in a scientific or mathematical discipline
  • Have a background working within a financial environment ideally up to a year
  • Experience working with technologies such as Windows operating systems, hard ware and software
