Senior Technology Sales, Financial Markets Infrastructure and Market Solutions – UK & EMEA, London

Our client is an international markets infrastructure business leader with a global presence specialising in Capital Markets across International Equity, ETF, Bond and Derivatives Markets. The company is also a leading developer and operator of high performance technology solutions, including Trading, Market Surveillance and Post Trade Systems for many significant global organisations and exchanges. Services include Network Connectivity, Hosting and Quality Assurance Testing.

Key Responsibilities for the role are:

  • Lead generation, Sales activities, identify UK and EMEA based prospects
  • Develop meaningful relationships with potential clients, manage these to close new business
  • Manage the sales pipeline, ensure that all opportunities are fully qualified and closed
  • Work with internal technology and delivery teams to agree  and define cost-effective solutions
  • Prepare and present solutions and service proposals
  • Prepare, negotiate and agree contract terms, work with client finance and legal teams, achieve agreed sales targets
  • Ensure hand-over of new business to delivery teams, work with product management team to define the products
  • Travel extensively in the region

Knowledge and Skills Required - All Are Essential:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Financial Markets and Fintech
  • Knowledge of current regulatory and industry trends in Europe
  • Knowledge of Exchanges, Financial Market Data and Technology Solutions Vendors Prime Brokers and Investment Banking business processes and technology required
  • Experience dealing at C Level on complex sales in FinTech Sector
  • Demonstrable negotiation skills and experience in leading complex commercial discussions at 'C' level
  • Strong experience selling sales of complex technology solutions and services
  • Track record of completing RFI's and presenting proposals to evaluation committees
  • Track record of successfully closing complex sales and contract negotiation

Desirable experience:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in FinTech Sales to Exchanges, Financial Market Data and Technology Solutions Vendors, Prime Brokers and Investment Banking
  • Experience of sales presentations to; C Level, Technologists and Business Managers
  • Experience in at least one structured sales qualification and management method
