Harrington Starr is proud to partner with one of the largest software solutions company in the UK. Our client provides software solutions to several industry sectors in UK and across the globe, and have launched a new and exciting software solution for the Financial Markets. To drive the growth of the new product launch our client is urgently searching for two Senior Sales Executives, with extensive sales experience selling software solutions across the Financial Services Sector, ideally both to the Buy and Sell Side.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage 360 degree sales campaigns to identify prospective clients, develop meaningful relationships and articulate the value proposition
  • Qualify and close new Financial Services opportunities
  • Map out and understand who the clients are up to C-level and spend significant time at client meetings.
  • Build and develop a strong network of C-Level customer contacts, and become their trusted advisor
  • Become the expert in Social Media Data and Analytics
  • Create client account plans and execute sales plans successfully
  • Work closely and effectively with Bid Management Team, Marketing and Operations Teams to ensure and safe guard commercially and legally sound sales contract
  • Own and run sales and marketing events
  • Work with other business divisions to benefit from existing relationships, and marketing and sales activities


  • 5+ years of experience in sales of complex FinTech software solutions, across the Financial Services Sector
  • Proven and demonstrable track record in winning software sales versus sales targets
  • Experience of Big Data Analytics, Social Media and Research. Sales and Marketing is highly desirable
  • Experience of within a small business unit in a large organisation would be highly advantageous
  • Success in using sales methodologies, account planning and sales execution
  • Strong understand of the Financial Services Market. Any Financial Services Market qualifications, e.g.; CFA/ACCA, is highly desirable
