Senior Python Engineer

£75,000 - £100,000 + bonus

FinTech, London

We're working with a profitable FinTech who need 4 x Senior Python Engineers to join the core platform team, working on high volume data analytics that are close to becoming industry standard in the Hedge Fund sector.

Specific industry experience is not required, but a desire to work in finance is essential – full training will be given.

This is an industry sector that becomes even more essential when the financial markets are 'turbulent' - demand for this software is at an all-time high and the business is breaking all records for growth. 

You need to have some Python development experience, more than just scripting skills.

Experience with some of the following will be useful, but what you don't know, full training will be provided:

• MySQL
• RabbitMQ
• Docker
• AWS (EC2, S3, Serverless, Cloudformation
• GitLab
• Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)

The interview process is as follows:

1. At home coding test in your own time - 3 basic skills test questions (approx. 1hr)

2. You spend 30 minutes talking to the Head of Development - he will run through your CV and talk to you in detail about the role.

3. Technical VC interview – approx. 90 minutes with the Head of Dev and a senior engineer, talking through your coding test plus a live problem-solving exercise.

4. Chat with the CEO, who'll give you a broader overview of the business goals and make sure you're up for the ride!

That's it.

These roles are only open to British citizens, EU Citizens with UK residency or candidates with ILR - unfortunately no Tier 2-5 Visa will be able to apply on this occasion.
