A global investment management firm are seeking an experienced data engineer with strong Python skills to take a leading role in building a greenfield data platform.
You will work closely with traders and portfolio managers to build tools and gather information which will be used directly in trading decisions – if you like to see your work making an impact, you won’t find much better than this.
There is some legacy tooling in place, but far from just trying to improve what’s there, this is a major investment in the firms data strategy, so all building will be new and using the very latest tools and technologies available.
Snowflake is the only ‘set-in-stone’ choice so far – your input will be required for everything else.
All development will be cloud hosted so previous experience would be a big benefit, however, you must have strong experience with on-prem development.
This is a unique opportunity to join a new team, working on a well-sponsored, high profile greenfield project, all in a well-established, highly successful business.
