  • Assist the Information Security Officer in devising Information Security Strategy and roadmaps
  • Develop and maintain information security standards and technical specifications
  • Develop and manage risk remediation plans, evaluate security and privacy risks, balancing business drivers, best practices, and external drivers
  • Provide technical supervision and guidance to the IT and business teams
  • Lead IT Security Operations to effective delivery of security work in coordination with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure Services and Service Delivery teams
  • Design and incorporate additional data feeds to the monitoring scope of the Security Operations Centre (SOC). Ensure adequate levels of coverage are sustained throughout business and IT change
  • Work with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure alignment of technology and security vision from the early stages of idea development and provide security by design
  • Represent Information Security in the technical design committee, review and approve design documents
  • Develop and maintain security controls for cloud services (eg. IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) as IT strategy moves towards “cloud first”
  • Design audits of security capabilities, systems, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with operational standards and specifications

 

Key Skills needed:

 

  • 6-8 years of experience within Information Security (CISSP, SANS, CEH)
  • Experience in process optimisation and automation
  • Experience with scripting languages (Powershell, Python, Bash, Ansible)
  • Experience with DevOps environments
  • Experience with operating systems, virtualisation and containerisation
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified Security Specialty) • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365
  • Experience with Incident response and digital forensics processes and procedures
  • Understanding of reverse engineering malware concepts tools and techniques
  • Understanding of Intrusion Detection systems and techniques
  • Understanding of security sub-systems (eg firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS)
