The company

A global leader in trading and risk management solutions is looking for an experienced sales manager to join in a player-manager role. Their front office system is used to trade commodity derivatives by banks, hedge funds, trading firms and corporates.

The role

  • Quota carrying new business sales
  • Managing a team of 2 other sales people
  • Setting out sales strategy for the team along with a territory plan
  • Tracking metrics and pipeline progress and reporting to the head of sales
  • Working with product management and pre-sales to devise solutions that meet the requirements of a diverse range of clients
  • Building a pipeline and closing new business deals in line with agreed targets
  • Travelling in Europe to meet prospects clients regularly

Requirements

  • Ideally the candidate will have commodities experience but someone with strong derivatives trading and risk management software sales experience will be considered
  • Candidates must be proven new business winners
  • Must have experience managing a team, even if only one other person for instance and be able to demonstrate experience in devising and executing a team sales strategy
  • Must come from a software sales background
