Sales Manager – Buy-Side, Investment Management, Funds, Portfolio Construction

£50,000 - £80,000 DOE + benefits + commission

The company

An award-winning, privately owned software company that supports investment managers and investors in constructing portfolios to meet their client and their own investment goals. My client is an established and successful business and they are looking to grow the team in London by hiring an experienced salesperson.

The role

  • New business sales – prospecting buy-sides firms and asset owners to win new business
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact to qualification, demonstrations and closing contractual and commercial terms
  • Oversee the on-boarding and handover to client services post sale
  • Supporting the head of sales in devising and executing sales strategy
  • Close business in line with agreed annual quota

Requirements

  • Experience selling relevant software in the fund space
  • Proven record of meeting sales quota
  • Strong knowledge of the fund sector and the interaction between asset owner and investment manager
  • New business hunter, able to overcome objections and the competition to win new clients
