Sales Executive – New Business

A niche Market Data and Intelligence firm, focused on the equity markets, is looking for a sales executive to hunt for new business in the buy-side institutions. Known for their niche custom data tools, our client is looking to grow their brand in the community and add to their client book.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and successful new business hunter into the buy-side financial institutions and strong equities market knowledge.

Relevant Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of the equities market
  • Ability to have in-depth conversations about equities, options, etc
  • Hunter mentality, expertise in new business sales and the ability to knock down doors
  • Energetic, passionate and entrepreneurial mindset with a never-let-die attitude
  • Ability to build strong relationships and leverage network to find and approach decision makers

Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue by acquiring new institutional accounts in the buy—side markets
  • Develop and remain current with product knowledge, market information, and relevant news
  • Understanding market data and how they can best serve each potential client
  • Utilize CRM data-base to organize key contacts and decision makers
  • Break down barriers via cold-calling, email marketing and networking to raise brand awareness

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of financial data sales into the equity markets
  • Hunter, new logo acquisition experience a must with proven ability to over-achieve quotas
  • BA / BS degree from a 4 year accredited institution
  • Background in market data, financial data, market information, or data feeds
  • Proficiency using Customer Relationship Management tools i.e. Salesforce
