Harrington Starr have been exclusively retained by an innovative and ambitious software provider, offering ETRM and Analytics solutions to the physical oil trading community, to recruit a Sales Director to head up their US sales push. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of exceeding sales targets selling enterprise level software to the trading community. A background in oil or commodities software would be highly advantageous but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of the physical oil market
- Proven track record in exceeding sales targets selling enterprise level trading software
- A hunter mentality and ability to work unsupervised
- Exceptional relationships in the oil trading market
- Capable of selling to traders and C-level executives
- Strong Bachelor’s degree
Your role will be to introduce an innovative, cloud based software solution for the physical oil market into the US territory. You will have access to an exceptional pre-sales engineer based in country but will be expected to leverage your existing book of contacts and your market knowledge to secure a strong pipeline of sales.
The role will ideally be based in Houston or New York but all truly exceptional candidates will be considered. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of a large multi-national meaning that this opportunity represents the best of both worlds; a hungry and entrepreneurial entity looking to launch in the US but with the backing of a powerful corporate enterprise.
