Sales Development Rep - Financial Technology

Our client is looking for a Sales Development Rep to join the Sales team. Their business is growing rapidly, and need a skilled SDR to establish and organize leads and generate new client interest.  The SDR will research prospective customers, create outreach strategies, and identify sales opportunities. As an SDR, you will conduct exploratory conversations with potential customers, use your business acumen to identify how their product could help a business grow, and successfully position the business value proposition.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Sales and Marketing Team and Senior Management to develop and implement appropriate prospecting strategies
  • Conduct high volume prospecting to qualify leads through calls, emails, and social media
  • Respond to and qualify inbound inquiries
  • Utilize, manage and build our CRM database to organize key contacts and decision makers and continue to build the sales pipeline
  • Remain current with our product offering and gain key market information within the investor community
  • Conduct research and identify new qualified opportunities within target companies
  • Provide reports as needed to show lead generation and/or qualification metrics
  • Schedule meetings for sales team leaders

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year university
  • 1-2 years of SaaS sales experience
  • Experience prospecting, cold calling, qualifying leads, setting meetings and building a pipeline
  • Previous sales experience in which you demonstrated the ability to meet or exceed sales quotas is a plus, but not required
  • Basic understanding of the financial industry, in particular buy-side investors, with the ability to become a subject matter expert on the job
  • Have a desire to be a part of a small team and being a key cog in a growing organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly curious and self-driven sense of motivation
