Harrington Starr are currently working with a leading Financial Institution to help recruit a Senior Test Manager to work within technology teams to deliver large-scale IT solutions within the Banking sector. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the whole system development lifecycle, focusing in particular on planning and coordinating large scale testing projects within wider cross programme demands and commitments

As the Test Manager will be primarily responsible for test execution activities including Functional, System Integration and supporting user acceptances and other test phases within the Transformation Programme. Previous experience of delivering successful testing outcomes as part of a large and complex Programme, mobilising the services of both internal and external/offshore teams is important.

This is a high profile team and it is expected that  you are highly motivated with strong communication skills to work closely with business and IT teams to deliver to tight delivery timeframes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Strong Regulatory experience
  • Excellent risk experience  
  • Experience in planning and coordinating large scale testing projects with wider cross programme demands and commitments
  • Proven experience of developing test strategies for end to end solutions
  • Proven experience of managing all types of testing phases (Functional, SIT, UAT, NFT, OAT, External testing)
  • Experience in Agile, V-Model, Waterfall – A blend between then, and more towards Agile, running through multiple test sprints and regression
  • Experience in managing teams of testers and particular experience in managing 3rd party testers and/or off-shore testers would be highly desirable
  • Experience of working with various internal as well as external System providers (both onsite and offshore)
  • Experience in working with exchanges, trade sources & members. Able to schedule, execute testing with external parties
  • Experience in specifying, managing and controlling the test environments
  • Deploying test execution artefacts to the test environments
