Regional Sales Manager, Americas

A growing Market Data and Software firm for the financial services community is looking to add a Regional Sales Manager for the Americas Currently with 120 people across 5 offices globally, they are looking for the best talent to continue expanding globally starting right here in NYC. With plans to expand to 2 additional countries, including Brazil, this Regional Sales Manager will have revenue growth responsibilities across the Americas including Latam. 

Responsibilities

1. Revenue Strategy

  • Meet or exceed revenue sales targets
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategy to drive company’s objectives of growing customer base and reaching new opportunities
  • Build and manage an effective sales pipeline of quality targets with the ability to forecast and measure performance from lead generation through to close
  • Ability to foresee, interpret, and rapidly respond to market changes by adjusting strategies and realigning priorities accordingly
  • Understand market landscapes, competitive environment, and trends, reporting on the forces that impact client decision making

2. Client Engagement

  • Effectively build value proposition through targeted probing and understanding of the customers’ business model demonstrating business impact and ROI to clients in a compelling and articulate manner
  • Experienced in building rapport and credibility; confident and skilled at gaining access to decision makers
  • Be the brand ambassador at conferences, on panels, driving home the value of the company, having a presence in the market with senior level relationships
  • Communicate the value proposition of EquiLend products and services through proposals, presentations and demonstrations

3. Communication

  • Provide detailed, comprehensive quotes on prospective sales orders with minimal editing required by other members of operational team. Sets pricing in conjunction with Product and Finance
  • Prepare business case presentations for new market opportunities
  • Prepare RFIs, RFPs and RFQs and negotiate SLAs
  • Present progress on sales targets with regular cadence; prepare data driven sales presentations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of eight years of experience in sales; preferably in Financial Technology with Business to Business sales
  • Knowledge of the Financial Technology industry
  • Demonstrated experience in sales strategy and pipeline management
  • Demonstrated experience with negotiating and closing contracts
  • Excellent negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Domestic travel required (approximately 50%)
