Harrington Starr are once again proud to be partnering with a market-leading Investment Management firm in the hiring of a QA Test Lead (Java) to play a key role in developing and improving the firm’s QA team.
This new full-time, permanent job opportunity would suit an experienced Lead or Senior QA Engineer who has a real passion in improving test data, UAT data, etc. The successful individual will begin by spending team in each product team (teams range from focussing on things like Investment tools, Risk, Client Reporting, etc.) and eventually move into a dedicated role within one of the product teams.

QA Test Lead (Hands-on)£75,000 - £85,000 p/a

Harrington Starr are once again proud to be partnering with a market-leading Investment Management firm in the hiring of a QA Test Lead (Java) to play a key role in developing and improving the firm’s QA team.
This new full-time, permanent job opportunity would suit an experienced Lead or Senior QA Engineer who has a real passion in improving test data, UAT data, etc. The successful individual will begin by spending team in each product team (teams range from focussing on things like Investment tools, Risk, Client Reporting, etc.) and eventually move into a dedicated role within one of the product teams.
Responsibilities
- Involvement in technical design, implementation and automated test within a CI/CD pipeline
- Take the lead in creating good test data – drive the business forward in ‘how we create good test data’
- Design and delivery of fully automated tests that cross service boundaries with all software deliverables
- Design BDD/TDD tests working closely with the business, BA team, Automation engineers and developers
- Demonstrated ability to deliver automated test that guarantee the integration of disparate systems through API boundaries and performance optimization of same
- Excellent Exploratory Testing skills
- 5 - 8 years’ + experience within Quality Assurance, preferably in Senior / Lead positions
- Strong technical knowledge in Java and Selenium required
- Experience in working with cross functional teams
- Experienced in both UI and API test automation
- Experience in BDD/TDD Testing
- Specific technology exposure to Kafka, TestCafe, Cypress – not essential, but advantageous
