QA Engineer

£35,000 - £50,000 + benefits inc Flexi Hours, Bonus Scheme

North Starr are working with a client that is operating within the bespoke, luxury travel sector. Their website and systems are an extension of the luxury brand they are looking to put forward to their consumers and coming into the business, you will need to be able to portray those ideals in the programming you create and support.

Working within a multi-skilled team using LAMP stack and React.JS / JavaScript, you will be:

  • Execute manual and write automated tests and identify actionable bugs quickly
  • Collaborate with the Development Director to develop effective strategies and test plans
  • Planning/organizing necessary test passes, staying on top of all issues, triaging bugs and driving issues to resolutions and keeping stakeholders and ScrumMaster aware of QA status
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle and provide feedback on quality issues
  • Create and support test dashboards/reports


  • Previous experience as a QA Engineer, ideally with experience of PHP and JavaScript
  • Experience with automation tools e.g. Selenium / Cucumber
  • Experience working with test management software and SQL
  • Ability to construct test cases and get them prioritised based on changes
  • Knowledge of test and tool development methodology
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
