Python Software Engineer 

Greenfield Risk Platform. London.

Circa £100k + Benefits + Bonus

A Commodities Trading firm is looking to add a Python Engineer to their development team building a Greenfield Risk Platform.

As the Python Software Engineer you will be a strong software engineer who understands how to build robust systems. You will be working closely with the Lead Risk Engineer and the CTO on a Greenfield risk platform that will be used to calculate VaR, Pricing, Valuation and stress and risk simulations. You will be using SQL and NoSQL database architectures so prior experience with writing SQL would be very advantageous. If you have a good understanding of statistics and mathematics that will be advantageous but primarily this firm is looking for a strong software engineer.

This is the opportunity to work with a well-established firm who are continually reinventing their technology and to work on building a platform from the ground up.

The Python Software Engineer will need:

  • Strong computer science, engineering or mathematics background – Essential
  • Good experience developing in Python – Essential
  • Experience with a SQL database – Essential
  • Experience with Risk or pricing – Highly Beneficial
  • Experience in a commodities firm – Beneficial
