Project manager – Mortgage Software, Retail Banking

A growing provider of technology to the financial services / retail banking sector is looking to recruit a project manager to join their team in the City of London. My client is a company formed by some of the best known and most influential figures in the mortgage community and have the financial backing that has allowed them to grow from a start up to a major supplier to investment banks.

With their own, unique approach to the implementation and integration of complex financial software, they want a candidate with strong project management experience to lead client project’s end-to-end.

You will initially work alongside the lead project manager who will help mentor you and teach you how to project manage the delivery of complex financial software solutions to multiple clients. This is a brilliant chance to be involved in a company that has already secured some of the biggest names in the investment banking in their client list despite being such a young business.

 As a Project manager – Mortgage Software, Retail Banking – your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage 1-4 concurrent projects at one time, ranging from budgets from £500k to £2 million (these projects are mortgage software systems implementation/delivery)
  • Lead and drive the gathering and documentation of client requirements for data content and the delivery mechanisms used
  • Project management of changes/enhancement to products and/or services
  • Managing the delivery and integration of customised solutions
  • Coordinate with multiple internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of the projects
  • Assisting sales and support personnel during implementations
  • Contributing towards specifying solutions for clients
  • Providing support to client during implementation projects

To be considered for the role of Project Manager you must have the following skills and experience:

  • A background in retail/mortgage financial services project management
  • Degree educated
  • Strong knowledge of project methodologies, ideally with certifications to support this
  • Experience delivering financial software platforms from a vendor perspective or financial technology projects internally
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
