My Client:

My client sells market data in both a consolidated aggregated feed over API into their clients own front end platform or through a third-party aggregator. They are a major player in the global financial markets and promote a range of different market data packages to their clients across the globe.

My client represents a solid career move to a large and established corporation that has a very high brand awareness and valuable assets that clients need from the buy side through to the sell side on a global basis form the front through to the back office.

They also sell products that help with compliance, regulations, reference and analytics.

Job Description:

The product specialist manager will manage a small team in London based in the City

Responsibilities: - Product Specialist responsibilities

  • Be or become a subject matter expert in investment analytics, pricing and risk management solutions to client needs

  • Ensure that currently clients further embed the products into their work flow as well as assisting the sales department in acquiring new logos.

  • Work with clients to enhance their derivatives business.

  • Present to regional events, conferences and CxO audiences on the benefits of the service

  • You will be a product and market specialist in exotic options markets I order to present my client as a top market provided for data and analytics

  • Continual staff and client training on the derivatives market and in particular Options.

Responsibilities: Manager

  • Manage the UK product team, this would include mentoring, direction, leading by example.

  • Understand team management and how to manage a high-performance team.

  • Ensure that my clients strategy and business direction is accurately portrayed to your team and that they follow that plan to achieve the aims of my client.

  • Ensure training materials are up to date and hire staff appropriate to your needs and ensure a structured training plan is in place to bring them online as soon as possible (there is a whole training department to help with this).

  • Manager meetings with the product and development staff on a weekly basis

  • Ensure materials are up to date and available.

Your personal Attributes:

  • You will need an in depth understanding of the trade life cycle and the systems in the financial markets that use my client’s services with specific emphasis on exotic options

  • An understanding of terms and conations within my client’s needs and how out products meet their requirements.

  • You will have a great deal of client face time and contacts that have met and know you through your career that you will be able to interact with and help develop the product further.

  • You will have in depth product knowledge of one or all of the following:

    • Commodities (Base Metals & Energy)

    • Equities

    • Fixed Income

    • Interest rates

    • FX

    • Credit Derivatives

A master’s degree would be an advantage

You will have deep understanding  and experience at a financial institutions in:

  • FX- Sales/dealer trader

  • Interest Rates- Sales/dealer trader

  • Fixed Income- Sales/dealer trader

  • Equities- Sales/dealer trader

  • Derivatibves- Sales/dealer trader
