Leading European Exchange is Principal Software Engineer.

You will be part of the team that builds and operates the technology for one of the largest pan-European equities markets by value traded in Europe, alongside other exciting product developments such as their new European equity derivatives market.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the real time trading system, from Order Handlers, through to Matching Engines, out to Market Data and everything in between. You can pride yourself on building high-quality, high-performance systems, giving participants the edge they need to best execute their strategies.

• Develop and maintain the Equities and Derivatives Trading Environments

• Use your architectural expertise and vision for moving their system in the right direction

• Build performant systems, with equal focus on quality, maintainability, scalability and testability

• Work with the development and business teams to design and implement the best solution for the job

The ideal candidate has:

• Previous experience working with modern C++ (C++11 and later)

• Strong ability to debug complex operational, scaling or latency issues

• A positive attitude for the other members of the team to emulate.

• Demonstratable experience in breaking down large scale, complex pieces of work into smaller items for consumption by other engineers.

• Experience working and developing for Linux environments

• Experience with SQL and relational databases, and Python
