Presales Consultant – Banking, SaaS, Subject Matter Expert

The company

An established and growing provider of SaaS solutions including core banking, treasury and risk is looking for someone with subject matter expertise in UK banking to join their London based team as a presales consultant. Following the release of some new, innovative products there have been a surge in new customers in the UK and need someone to support the Head of Sales with prospective retail, corporate, private and challenger banking customers.

The role

  • This is a diverse and potentially very rewarding role with a focus on supporting  the successful acquisition of new customers
  • Attending meetings with prospective customers to demonstrate product functionality
  • Understand and document client requirements and work with the products team where development will be involved and provide the implementation team with configuration details
  • Answer client questions and queries as the banking SME
  • Some 1st line support post sale with an element of relationship management to provide continuity to the customer
  • Ad hoc tasks to support other team members
  • Some travel may be required for this role


  • The primary requirement for this role is demonstrable expertise in UK banking – understanding workflows, challenges, technology used, industry trends and drivers in the market
  • Client facing confidence and manner are also essential
  • Preferably experience with technology but a genuine interest and passion will be considered
  • Thrives on solving problems and overcoming challenges
