Up to £53,000 per annum

Harrington Starr has partnered up with an Asset Management firm in the city who are in need of a strong Oracle/Excel/VBA developer.  As the Oracle/Excel/VBA developer you will be joining a close knit team dealing directly with Fund Managers to get most out of their front office applications.  You will be working with very large databases in the multi asset world using Oracle PL/SQL from a DB perspective and Excel/VBA for more the front office applications.  Your role will also be quite data analyst focused as you will be tasked to get the most out of data across global sites. 

As the main person around databases you will get involved in the reporting side of the business in which they currently use Crystal reports.  As you grow with the business you will gain more responsibility and more exposure to different systems and technologies.  The organisation provides a lot of support to its developers and will take the time to train where necessary. 

You will be joining a Multi Asset Fund so you exposure to the business will be add a lot value to you as a professional.  You will be given a lot of autonomy once respect is gained from the business, where you can play a big part in the company’s success.

Must Have Skills

  • Love for technology
  • Excellent Oracle skills
  • Vast experience using VBA/EXCEL
  • Reporting experience (Crystal Reports)
  • Data Analysis experience

  • .NET exposure
  • Asset Management background
