Network Implementation Engineer

Network Implementation Engineer – FinTech company – NYC, Up to $180,000 base salary


Harrington Starr have partnered with a fast-growing global FinTech company which is hiring a Network Implementation Engineer for their New York City office. This company specializes in network infrastructure for the High-frequency / Low-latency trading space.


Candidates should come from a strong networking background with 7-10 years’ experience, preferably within an ISP or large enterprise NOC environment and have excellent communications skills. Candidates should preferably have worked within financial networks including exchange and market data connectivity.


Technical experience should include extensive LAN/WAN troubleshooting and implementation experience including internet and routing protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, and multicast routing and switching: IGMP, PIM, MSDP. Candidates should have extensive experience with Cisco hardware and preferably Juniper or Arista as well. The environment will be primarily Windows although some exposure to Linux environments is preferred. Candidates should preferably have a CCNA or higher and ideally some exposure to automation using scripting in Bash or Python.
