An entrepreneurial FinTech organisation is looking for a mid-level SQL Developer to work out of their City London office focusing entirely on their database of financial information. You will become an integral part of the UK operation and be given the opportunity to broaden your responsibilities.

You will be working for an innovative FinTech organisation, which will gain exposure to leading edge technology and work as part of an exciting and growing technology team. You should already have knowledge of the financial markets or a real passion and willingness to learn. This role will require you to have strengths in SQL Server 2008R and working with 2014 is a huge advantage as this organisation are Microsoft Gold partner that use the latest technologies.

You will have great experience in using T-SQL for stored procedures and query optimizations and working with the full reporting package.

Key requirements within this role are as follows:

  • Excellent a T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS (essential)
  • Strong communication skills (essential)
  • Experience of technical development within a financial organisation (highly desirable)
  • Solid Technical Understanding - SQL, MS Excel, Oracle databases (essential)
  • Experience of providing end user training (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services market (highly desirable)
  • Understanding of OO technologies (bonus)

As a SQL Server Developer you will be responsible for speaking with the board and business staff, gathering business requirements and performing development /reports from initial discussions through to data extraction. You will also be requires to configure and tweak the existing systems and products as well as build new versions from scratch. Naturally for such a post you will have the ability to translate the business to technical and vice versa through exceptional communication and written skills.
