The North Starr, part of the Harrington Starr recruitment group are looking to hire a seasoned technical MI Analyst who is eager to make a new career move.
This role will see the post holder combine both best practice MI Analysis with technical development of financial data.
Based within newly refurbished offices in Brighton, you will be part of a niche MI Data team who provide key data analysis across all business units.
The core responsibilities for this role are as follows:
Supporting the executive team in the development and delivery of key MI, core information and analysis.
Help to build strong relationships across the business.
Be able to manage MI BAU reporting within the team, and utilise expertise in internal reporting systems
Liaise with Senior Directorate as the Data/MI business partner
Help to provide innovative thought leadership and solution recommendations in the Data/MI space.
Promote and drive reporting consistency and accuracy between various internal reporting systems
Help to guide regional and functional business partners in the development of consistent and informative MI across group.
Help to maintain, develop and expand an existing consolidation, global and regional reporting tool.
Enforcing consistent accounting treatment across regions and creating MI standards.
The core skills for this role are as follows:
Must have demonstrable skills gained from working within large multinational or complex organisations.
Its highly essential to possess a high calibre data understanding and capability, with a clear technical awareness and attention to detail.
Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with a proven ability to bridge financial knowledge-gaps.
Demonstrable ability to design and develop MI reporting on financial and non-financial data
Must have strong Excel and VBA skills (advanced)
Experience building dashboards and automation
Strong ability to write SQL queries to exchange data with corporate databases.
Finance knowledge is highly desirable.
Design Principles - or experience in building dashboards and presentations
Excel/Access - Advanced
SQL Server / SSIS - Advanced
Visual Basic - Intermediate
SAS - desirable
