Lead Python Engineer (Pricing & Risk) 

Circa £130,000 + bonus + benefits

FinTech - Data Analytics, London

We're working with a profitable FinTech who need a Lead Python Engineer with pricing & risk in financial markets experience to lead a development team, working on high volume data analytics that are close to becoming industry standard in the Hedge Fund sector.

You need at least 6yrs of commercial Python development experience, ideally in a large-scale finance system. Experience as a technical leader would be preferable, but if you’re a senior engineer now who is looking to progress and are able to demonstrate the necessary leadership attributes, you will be given the chance to shine.

As well as strong Python knowledge, experience with some of the following will be useful (what you don't know, full training will be provided):

• MySQL

• RabbitMQ

• Docker

• AWS (EC2, S3, Serverless, Cloudformation

• GitLab

• Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)

The interview process is as follows:

1. You spend 30 minutes talking to the Head of Development - he will run through your CV and talk to you in detail about the role.

2. At home coding test in your own time - 3 basic skills test questions (approx. 1hr)

3. Technical VC interview - approx 90 minutes with the Head of Dev and a senior engineer, talking through your coding test plus a live problem solving exercise.

4. Chat with the CEO, who'll give you a more broad overview of the business goals and make sure you're up for the ride!
