A well-known, well established financial technology firm are expanding their development team in London.
They're offering the chance to join their team as a technical lead and work on a range of low latency Java development projects.

You are expected to be a passionate engineer for who coding is more than 'just a job'. As a lead engineer you will also be expected to mentor junior members of the team – there won’t be line management responsibilities - this can be available as a career progression path, but management isn’t forced on anyone.
A strong appreciation of testing and ideally experience of following TDD will give you a big head start. The systems this team builds are absolutely mission critical.
This firm love to nurture talent with everyone in the team working together on every project – there are no heroes and no single points of failure.
You must be able to demonstrate a genuine love of software engineering and a desire to learn and improve as well as to share your experience and teach those around you - if you can do that, you will have the opportunity to work with some exceptionally talented technologists in an environment that is always encouraging team members to do well.
They describe themselves as a technology firm who happen to work in finance, so it’s a long way from being a corporate development team.
