£120,000 - £140,000 + bonus + benefits

A well-known, well established financial technology firm are expanding their development team in London.
They're offering the chance to join their team as a technical lead and work on a range of low latency Java development projects.
Industry experience isn't required for this role but a background in finance would be beneficial.
You are expected to be a passionate engineer for who coding is more than 'just a job'.
As a lead engineer you will also be expected to mentor junior members of the team – there won’t be line management responsibilities - this can be available as a career progression path, but management isn’t forced on anyone.
A strong appreciation of testing and ideally experience of following TDD will give you a big head start. The systems this team builds are absolutely mission critical.
This firm love to nurture talent with everyone in the team working together on every project – there are no heroes and no single points of failure.
You must be able to demonstrate a genuine love of software engineering and a desire to learn and improve as well as to share your experience and teach those around you - if you can do that, you will have the opportunity to work with some exceptionally talented technologists in an environment that is always encouraging team members to do well.
