Harrington Starr are partnering with a FinTech market leader in post-trade analytics in the hiring of a skilled Junior QA Engineer (Python) to work closely with the Head of QA at their London offices.
This new full-time, permanent job opportunity within FinTech would be ideal for a QA professional with up to 1 years’ experience with skills in coding, quality and testing who is interested in joining a very hands-on and supportive QA team. This role would also suit a recent graduate who has had an academic focus on automated testing and touching on Python language skills.
This is a great opportunity to join an award-winning trading analytics platform covering front to back office, a sector truly exploding across London and ever-evolving! With recent growth across EMEA region they’re building out a stellar Quality Engineering team in Python with approximately 80% automation.

Harrington Starr are partnering with a FinTech market leader in post-trade analytics in the hiring of a skilled Junior QA Engineer (Python) to work closely with the Head of QA at their London offices.

Responsibilities
- Carrying out exploratory & automated testing across API & UI
- Creating and managing bug reports & communicating them across the team
- Assisting with defining, building and maintaining test scenarios for automating tests
- Reviewing & contributing to unit, integration and end to end tests when required
- Working with deployment teams and helping to resolve any issues arising in the CI process
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
This opportunity would suit a Junior QA professional with experience in both manual and automated testing frameworks.
- Up to 1 years’ experience working on automated testing
- Exposure to Python programming / coding
- Experience in working with cross functional teams is desirable but not essential
- Exposure to both UI and API test automation is beneficial
- Other tech such as JavaScript and Cypress are advantageous but not essential
- Interest in the financial technology sector
