Junior IT Systems Administrator – City of London – Office based – Windows Server, Networking, Virtualisation – up to £45,000 basic salary

A highly systematic Hedge fund that specialise in developing unique software systems for the financial sector are seeking an ambitious junior level IT Systems Administrator.

This role is best suited for somebody that loves IT. You will be expected to have exceptional attention to detail as well as love a technical challenge and teaches themselves on the side.

In this role you will be working on configuring, monitoring and enhancing and large infrastructure footprint. This will include monitoring on-site and off-site servers, managing in-house software applications all whilst enhancing your own skillset.

Role:

• Maintain infrastructure on site and off site
• Administer Active Directory and Group Policy
• Onboard and suggest new technologies wherever necessary
• Configure a global infrastructure footprint
• Support all end users throughout the company

Technical skills:

• System Administration of Active Directory
• Network experience (Cisco or Juniper highly desired)
• Server knowledge (knowledge of how two servers interact)
• Exposure to Hyper-V virtualisation
• Hardware experience e.g., building custom PCs, workstations, machines

Personal background:

• Highly organised
• Great attention to detail – an obsession with documentation detailing
• Excellent communicator who can talk to all levels of seniority
• A natural drive to better your understanding of computer technology
