Junior Application Support Analyst

A global, award winning provider of Financial Software to the investment banking industry is looking to recruit a Junior Application Support Analyst to join their team based in London. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to get onto the career ladder with one of the most successful and well-known financial software vendors in the world. They had a network of 6 offices globally and can offer a range of different career paths depending on the strengths of the individual.

As a Junior Application Support Analyst – your responsibilities will include:

  • Accept client support requests, log the support queries and seek a swift resolution
  • Troubleshoot and analyse the support query and either resolve or escalate it to the reliving team
  • Maintain the static data required for the systems
  • Use your knowledge of futures, options and exchange traded derivatives (after training) to advise clients on how to overcome business/operational issues
  • Act as the central point of contact with client even when technical team support is requested
  • Cover early and late shifts as part of a rota

After around 18 months and once you have proven yourself, you will be given the chance to progress within the company and move into areas such as a business analysis and pricing for example.

To be considered for the role of Junior Application Support Analyst you must have the following:

  • 2.1 or better in a finance or business related subject - essential
  • Strong analytical skills - essential
  • Excellent communications kills – essential
  • Strong SQL skills
