A leading Commodities and Financial Technology firm is looking to hire a Java Software Engineer to work on the development of their risk and pricing platform in their London office.

They are a top real-time commodity trading and risk management software company and work in a variety of industries from oil to agriculture. Their team has some of the most experienced developers in the industry and they are continuously launching new products to suit their customer's needs.

As the Java Software Engineer (Microservices, Java 10, Spring Boot) you will be working on the development of a re-engineered platform that will be built on a microservices architecture. You will be using the latest versions of Java (currently 10 but looking to move to 11 when it's released) and will be building a highly available and fault-tolerant application. This is the chance to join a new team that is being built to help improve the pricing and risk platform that delivers commodities prices directly into a buy and sell-side organisations.

The Java Software Engineer (Microservices, Java 10, Spring Boot, RESTful API) will need:

  • Strong experience in Java, ideally Java 8 - 10
  • Experience with Spring Boot
  • Worked with Micro Services
  • Experience working with SQL


  • Experience in the Financial or Commodities space
