IT Integration Engineer

Harrington Starr is working with a leading Financial company organisation who is currently looking for a talented IT Integration Engineer and bright to join their established team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a Financial company that is looking to expand its team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • A Delivery and Operations Role where the split between delivery and operational responsibility will be 70/30
  • Direct and act as reference point to Junior and Intermediate Team members
  • Be aware of the IT organisations strategic aims, policies, processes and procedures
  • Ensure incidents and service requests are dealt with to the Business’ satisfaction
  • Actively work with appropriate teams in IT to pre-empt service issues and minimise the impact of service issues to the Business
  • Keep up-to-date with developments within the organisation that may have an impact on the user experience
  • Take lead responsibility for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure
  • Take the lead in driving technical research and development to enable innovation within the infrastructure as part of continual service improvement
  • Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards and values

EXPERIENCE:

  • Solid experience within a Systems Administration\Systems Engineering role
  • Solid experience in a Delivery environment, preferably within the Private Sector
  • Subject matter expert in a least one core Infrastructure System or Application
  • Experience of using best practice IT Service Management tools to log and manage user calls
  • and provide first time resolution where practical. Experience of Service Now is preferred
  • Professional qualifications: Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Linux

and Microsoft.

  • Must be able to demonstrate competency and exposure to:
  • Active Directory, authentication and access management
  • Messaging Infrastructure – MS Exchange & Skype for Business, on-premise & on-line
  • Mobile Device Management – Good, Blackberry Work, etc
