IT Category Manager

As an IT Category Manager, you'll lead technology procurement, oversee cost allocation, and optimise operational efficiencies. You'll manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, collaborate with the Chief Administration Office and a large Technology department spanning multiple locations.

Your role is crucial for streamlining IT procurement and cost management across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Managing supplier relationships and optimising procurement opportunities.
• Overseeing contract renewals, tracking project spend, and managing software assets.
• Promoting continuous improvement in procurement and cost allocations.
• Supporting various technology-related processes, compliance, and risk management.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in IT Procurement at an Enterprise Level and managing IT budgets.
• Prior IT Category spend management experience and proficient in negotiating complex contracts.

Desirable Experience & Skills

• Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) membership.
• PowerBI enterprise reporting experience.
• Financial Services background.
• Understanding of cloud service provider cost models.
