Infrastructure Engineer – Mayfair – Windows Server, MS suite, Azure, AD, PowerShell, VMware - £60,000-£80,000 basic salary

A highly regarded investment management services company who provide systematic trading strategies are hiring within their infrastructure team. They are seeking a self-starting, enthusiastic engineer who has the attitude of solving problems down to their cause, whilst constantly looking at ways to enhance an IT environment.

This department is responsible for designing, developing and operating all technology related infrastructures including on-prem and cloud environments.

Role overview:

BAU: Support, maintain and operate the firm’s critical technology infrastructure, including being involved in our early/late cover and on-call rotas. You will work closely with all levels of the business from traders to the C-level.  

Project work: Undertake project work to evolve the technology infrastructure. Including deploying new updates or design changes to major infrastructure components. Current project are cloud migrations through Azure, so knowledge in this is highly desired.

Required skills:

• Windows server and desktop (DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy)
• Microsoft Azure and IaaS principles
• PowerShell understanding
• Microsoft SQL Server (highly desirable)
• Veeam Backup (highly desirable)
• Strong general IT skills from support to complex engineering
