Harrington Starr's client, a highly successful multi-billion dollar hedge fund, is hiring for an Application Support Analyst in it's NYC office. This role is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level analyst to gain extensive exposure to different areas of the firm including the business (traders, portfolio managers, product controllers, and risk officers) and technology teams (developers, desktop support, and infrastructure), work with internal and third-party applications, providing support across all of the firm's trading desks (rates, FX, credit, equities, swaps, futures, swaptions).
Candidates must have at least 2 or 3 years of application support experience in a bank, hedge fund, or similar environment, have familiarity with trade lifecycles, basic issues encountered, risk, pnl systems, familiarity with .NET and/or Java (must know how to troubleshoot, being able to read code is ideal), familiarity with Windows and Unix/Linux environments, SQL, and be able to work semi-autonomously in a fast-paced environment, as part of a relatively small and lean technology team.
