The Company

Our Client is a multi-award winning, globally successful web-based software solution provider, focusing on creating relevant digital services within the maritime industry. They pride themselves on delivering exceptionally high level of customer service and therefore streamlining safety and quality management systems within the shipping industry and other business areas.

 

The Role:

  • To support the Chief Commercial Officer, with the day-to-day management and monitoring of the global Commercial Team by way of Salesforce and other means in a proactive manner
  • To ensure an accurately functioning sales Forecast and Pipeline via the use of SFDC. To take day-to-day ownership of the SFDC platform and analyze its input and output and make recommendations for further process improvements
  • Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer to drive and implement improvement in Customer Retention, Customer Satisfaction, Market Research and Competition Insight
  • As part of the Senior Commercial Leadership team, play an integral role in identifying potential improvements, to strengthen process and control metrics; helping the team better capture issues and calls to action; implement changes as identified
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a small team of Graduate Entry Internal Sales people
  • Responsible for the production of monthly sales performance statistics and analysis
  • Ownership of monthly Board reporting data; taking responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided
  • As part of the senior commercial leadership team, identify key, relevant information and ensure that this is disseminated within the team in a timely fashion
  • To assist the Chief Commercial Officer to coordinate other ad hoc commercial activities
  • Occasional travel may be required

Skills and Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic and proactive personality, with a natural desire to question and help drive positive change
  • A team player, but with the strength of personality to act on occasion against the perceived wisdom      
  • A natural mentor, with the empathy and leadership skills to guide a small internal sales team 
  • Ideally somebody who either has to date, or has a desire to build a commercially focused career
  • Has the gravitas to grow into becoming a core part of the Commercial Leadership team and can play a central role in a growing and evolving company, working directly for the Chief Commercial Officer
