Desktop Support Engineer/End User Support Engineer – London – Windows, Apple, Android, Technology support - £35,000-£40,000 basic salary

 

One of the largest investment management companies in the world are hiring an associate engineer to join their infrastructure team to ensure the smooth running and stability of various systems spanning across the business.

 

In this role you will gain exposure to a highly sophisticated financial environment and be supporting the most cutting edge technologies within the financial space.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Be the first point of contact for the Tech Support function
  • Visit users at their desks and provide remote support where necessary
  • Troubleshoot queries and escalate where appropriate
  •  Participate in an on call rota, roughly 1 week in every 12

 

Key skills and experience:

 

  • Have worked in a tech support environment whereby customer is the primary focus
  • Have a genuine interest in technology
  • An understanding of Apple / Android handsets, exposure to Mobile Device Management
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework
  • Windows OS and Citrix (beneficial not essential)
  • Market data applications such as Bloomberg or Reuters (beneficial not essential)
