DevOps Engineer ( Client On-Boarding)

What you will do:

With your experience, you are in the lead. That means that around 10% of the time you coach members in the growing team, but the other time is spent working on DevOps yourself. Leadership by example. At the same time, you help build the culture and practice of DevOps throughout the organization and do some coaching and training for the rest of the team. You will also provide the operations perspective in architectural settings, and occasionally work with client teams.

 

Long story short, you are involved across the board (what a rhyme!). CI/CD, monitoring, real-time event analysis, incident response... you name it. Common tasks include:

 

  • Writing scripts to automate operations and server management

  • Maintaining existing tools for monitoring, notifications, trending, and analysis

  • Investigating reported / suspected outage issues, documenting issues, resolution, maintaining a knowledge base of known issues and remedies

  • Deploying, testing and documenting development, pre-production, and production environments

  • Providing escalation support and expertise to incident management processes involving client AWS/Cloud Infrastructures or related issues

  • Scoping, designing, building and maintaining infrastructure on AWS and other cloud environment

  • Helping to build and grow the DevOps team

Requirements

What we need you to bring:

  • You have 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SysAdmin and/or Development

  • You know your way with both Microsoft and Linux, but also AWS (or Azure, but willing to learn and dive into AWS)

  • You are a great communicator with excellent English skills

  • You know containers (e.g. Docker)

  • You have at least some knowledge of .NET Core / C#

  • You like to coach and teach, while also being a believer in continuous personal improvement.
