Harrington Starr is currently working with leading financial services vendor based in the City, they specialise in banking software across a variety of sectors they specialise in payments.

They are currently in the market and looking for a senior Developer in test to come on-board they will be hands on by writing automation scripts within UI automator, Android Studio and Android espresso and Testing of modified SDK on payment devices.

The Position

You will be conducting the following daily activities:

  • Design and develop sample test application for Android devices
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Training and mentoring of junior team members
  • Review code and test cases developed by testers and junior members
  • Hands-on experience building Android applications using JAVA
  • Hands-on experience with automated test tools for Android (i.e. Android Studio)
  • Hands-on experience with git; Android tools (ADB, Espresso, ui-automator);
  • Some experience with Kotlin
  • Proven work experience in software development
  • Proven work experience in quality assurance
  • Familiarity with Android applications and device
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence)
  • Comfortable working within an IDE, such as Android Studio or IntelliJ
  • They will help setup the continuous improvement phase by implementing screen shoots, video recording, before and after hooks, prop/config file for the automation framework
  • Cooperation with developers, business analysts and other team members while solving problems or during testing of new functionalities
