Desktop Support Analyst- London- Circa £30,000
One of the worlds largest oil and gas traders is looking to hire a talented Desktop Support Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the biggest organisations in the world where you will improve your technical skills dramatically in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
In this role as Desktop Support Analyst you will be providing 1st and 2nd line support for hardware and software, supporting the desktop, phones, emails and applications for both internal and external users. You will be working closely alongside brokers to assist in installing their harware, preparing and upgrading back office systems as well as helping with network patching. You will be assisting in setting up new joiners and will works closely with other teams to ensure in the smooth running of the desktop.
In order to be considered for the role of Desktop Support Analyst the following skills will be required;
- Strong Windows technical skills (Active Directory, Server, Exchange, VMware etc) (essential)
- Good knowledge of telephone systems e.g. Avaya phone systems, Swithboards etc
- Understanding of database management
- Understanding of trading support applications (Bloomberg, Reuters etc) (ideal)
