The company

My client is a well-established leading trading technology provider who are a leading player within their market and are looking to hire a Sales manager to join their team to help influence, promote and sell their core product offering.

The role 

My client is looking to onboard a leading professional who can in help formulate and create a strategy of rolling out their new desktop offering. You will be required to own the road-map of their core applications and capabilities around area specifics (workflow, applications and content). You will work closely with developers and product teams to enhance and implement new benefits features which would help benefit the end user and their user experience. This can be around desktop functionalities, mobile capabilities, applications on the solutions and more.

  • Work closely with the internal SMEs (solution/department specifics) and design teams, be accountable for the design and implementation of the User Interface & Experience in the specific sector – trading, risk, compliance etc
  • Serve as a platform specialist to actively promote the company’s platform to customer, partner and sales communities within the specific sector workflows
  • Collaborates with all internal stakeholders to deliver the platform vision 


  • Sales and account management skills driving revenue and retention
  • Strategic thinking that can evolve the company’s platform to be geared toward the future of our user base
  • Product management knowledge and how business planning incorporates vision with product development and delivery
  • Experience with target core financial institutional customer base (Buy/Sell Side Trading, Investment Management, Investment Banking)
  • Experience migrating products and platforms from legacy to future solutions
  • Experience working with vendors and partner firms to execute on a platform approach
  • Experience creating products and services with large global development/product and design teams (this can be anywhere from 50-200 stakeholders)
  • Experience defining commercial and legal requirements and end to end delivery requirements, including marketing, support
  • Experience leading teams (directly and indirectly) toward a common goal
  • Project/product management experience/knowledge (agile or lean)
